I feel infinitely better - and the change is as much psychological as physical - I feel so much HAPPIER, from the inside out - just excited about life, sparked, optimistic, bursting with ridiculous amounts of energy. I started a raw food diet about a month before I began the cleanse, so easing into the cleanse felt very natural - what changed was that on the cleanse I was taking the supplements, medi-clear, doing the castor oil pack & cut all dried fruits and cacao-related sweets-n-treats (LOVE the cacao, but need to watch myself, it can be like crack for me.)
I was amazed that I never felt hungry or deprived, even on the liquid-only days (where I was pretty hard-core - did medi-clear, water, & raw vegetable juice only. Felt energized - was even able to continue my normal workouts at the gym!)
Favorite part of the cleanse - the castor oil packs - still do them almost every night - fantastic, its my special quiet reflective meditative time before I go to bed every night. I gave myself some enemas - dont see what everyone was all freaked out about - I thought they were kind of cool. Also, I went to this great place Sanavita for colonics during the liquid only days and LOVED the colonic irrigation - the woman who did it was super cool, and I found it fascinating the way I could feel my intestines filling up with water and then draining - she was very thorough, and filled me up with chlorophyl and weatgrass about 4 or 5x in a row~! I was squeaky clean! crazy to see all the mucus and gunk that was in there. The colonics make such a difference!! <Prior to the Essential Cleanse, I suffered from>Insomnia, fatigue, itchy legs (like, bad itching - from ankle to knee - no lotions or creams worked, would scratch in my sleep, legs shredded and torn. It was bad. I am now bursting with energy, sleeping better than I ever have, and leg itch reduced considerably. Eating less, enjoying it more, content, happy" -Anonymous in New York, NY "Blood sugar. That was my first big fear about doing a cleanse. I am hypoglycemic, and the last time I did a cleanse (unsupervised) my blood sugar soared and crashed all day long. It was a miserable experience. On Dr. Cory’s cleanse I am proud to report I actually felt more balanced then when eating regular food! I was also a colonophobe. I had great fear and trepidation about colon hydrotherapy. I entered her second call about this topic with resistance and a lot of questions. I realize now that I was making a mountain out of a mole hill. Not only did I do a colonic, I bought a 6-pack and am still doing them after the cleanse. My first colonic may have been the single most potent hour I have ever experience of self care. Leaving my appointment I could actually see more clearly, life was more vivid and my general outlook was completely shifted into a place of positivity. Soft food addiction. The last thing I feared was missing food. As I have aged I know I have become increasingly dependent on my mouth and food to bring me joy. The thought of limiting, then totally eliminating food was a grim proposition. If I was to remove one of the few things that brought me pleasure in my life I was going to be miserable – or so I thought. I’m happy to report I didn’t miss food one bit. That’s right. Not one single bit. In fact I didn’t want to switch back to solid food when the time came. I felt so satisfied and balanced off food, the idea of processing solid foods, in even small amounts, seemed off-putting. I now enjoy solid food again, but my outlook on it has changed. I eat half the amount of food I used to eat, maybe even less, and tend to stay away from big heavy animal-protein focused meals by instinct. I now feel the food I eat and use that as a guide to help me choose what I put in my body. I naturally choose to eat the foods that make me feel good and function better. Today I don’t feel dependent on food; I feel more in partnership with it. If I only got this last benefit from my cleanse, I would be completely satisfied with my experience. I recommend this cleanse to everyone because it’s civilized. It’s well thought out and leverages modern technology and wisdom to make the experience very gentle. Dr. Cory has found a way to minimize the impact cleansing has on our daily routines while maximizing the results. Suffering while cleansing is optional, and I’m glad Dr. Cory has provided an option to the alternative." -Dan B, San Francisco |
